Burien 2044 Vision Workshop

What would it be like to live, work, play, and shop in Burien in 2044? Burien is hosting a virtual visioning workshop to plan its best future! Help shape the future of your city!
You will have the opportunity to learn more about Shape Your City, a coordinated effort to update the Burien Comprehensive Plan, Transportation Master Plan, and Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Plan, and share your ideas with fellow Burien community members through interactive conversations. Questions we’ll be asking:
- How can Burien create opportunities for housing that meets your needs today and tomorrow? What housing styles do you think the Burien community needs?
- How can Burien best retain and attract businesses, so they thrive?
- A walkable community needs places to walk to – what would you like to walk to in your neighborhood?
- Where do we need better connections to move around Burien by foot, bike, and car?
- Where do we need more parks or access to open space? What kinds of parks or recreation do we need?
Interpreters will be available in Spanish, Vietnamese, and Amharic.
