Planning staff is hosting a Community Open House to discuss the Housing Code and Zoning Map Amendment proposal and answer questions on April 30 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Burien Library Multipurpose Room (and Burien City Council Chambers, located at 400 SW 152nd St, Burien).
The Housing Code and Map Amendment project is an essential step to implementing the housing goals and land use plan of the Burien 2044 Comprehensive Plan. These amendments focus on achieving equitable housing growth, mitigating displacement, removing impediments to development, and meeting state legislative requirements.
After the open house, you are invited to attend the Planning Commission meeting and share your thoughts during the public comment and public hearing portion of the meeting. The agenda is now available online.
Planning Commission meetings are held both in person at Burien City Hall, 3rd Floor Conference Room, 400 SW 152nd St, Burien and virtually via Zoom.
